Johnsburg, NY. The Glenn and Carol Adirondack Foundation is a private foundation established in 2000 “dedicated to improving the quality of life for year-round residents of the Adirondack Park.” Since its inception, the foundation has funded more than 600 not-for-profit grant requests totaling over $1.4 million dollars.
The trustees of the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation met with representatives from the greater Elizabethtown area not-for-profits in late September, organized by Craigardan, to discuss issues in the community. The trustees later convened to review 81 grant applications requesting a total of $415,238. The board is pleased to have fully funded the requested amount for 18 grants and partially funded 18. The annual underwriting for North Country Public Radio (NCPR) and Mountain Lake PBS and the Junior Trustee grant proposals were also approved, for a total of $104,681 awarded.

- Friends of the Horicon Library, Chestertown NY to support the 2025 Summer Reading program. Tannery Pond Center, North Creek NY for six winter/spring concert artist fees.
North Country Ministry, Warrensburg NY to purchase food for the Warrensburg and Brant Lake food pantries and the Mobile Mart.
Seagle Music Colony, Schroon Lake NY to support the Children’s Opera touring costs.

Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Waitsfield VT for Adirondack youth paddling program scholarships.
The Junior Trustees presented proposals for their annual special grants. One grant was to the Adirondack Writing Center in Saranac Lake, NY, the $500 award will support the group as they inspire established and beginning writers through their events and programs in the Adirondacks. The second $500 grant was awarded to The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, NY to assist with the School Visit programs, help with the complimentary admission passes, and support the High School Juried Show. The board approved the proposals.
