The Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation is a private foundation established in 2000 “dedicated to improving the quality of life for year-round residents of the Adirondack Park.” Since its inception, the foundation has funded nearly 700 not-for-profit grant requests totaling close to $1.5 million dollars.
The board of trustees celebrated the 25th anniversary of the foundation at the annual meeting in Tupper Lake. The trustees convened to review 74 grant applications requesting a total of $425,581. The board is pleased to have fully funded the requested amount for 28 grants and partially funded 9. The annual underwriting for North Country Public Radio (NCPR) and Mountain Lake PBS and the Junior Trustee grant proposal were also approved, for a total of $129,308 awarded.

- Adirondack Food Systems, Keeseville to support student attendance at the annual Food Justice
Summit. - Northern Lake George Foundation Inc, Ticonderoga to fund a Silver Bay YMCA restricted
scholarship account. - Essex Food Hub, West Port for a cargo enclosed trailer.
- Play ADK, Saranac Lake to support and expand Clubhouse programs.
- T.I.M.B.E.R Bots, Wilmington for robotic components.
- Northern Forest Center, Inc., Concord supporting the Midstory program.
- Adirondack North Country Association, Saranac Lake to purchase farmers’ market produce.
- Westport Library Association, Westport for programming.
- Elizabethtown Social Center, Elizabethtown to produce three Community Unity events.
- Hillview Free Library for Adirondack Inspirations programming.
- Tupper Arts, Inc., Tupper Lake for art instruction and supplies for weekly art classes.
- Little Peaks, Inc., Keene for critical kitchen supplies and food resources.
- Talking Rivers, Inc., Dexter for watersampling kits and contractors.
- Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Waitsfield to fund NFC trip scholarships.
- Tannery Pond Center for the Arts, North Creek for programming.
- Seagle Music Colony, Schroon Lake to fund fall season transportation.
- Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, Gloversville to support the volunteer program.
- Ausable Valley Grange #973, Keeseville for supplies for the Barn Quilt workshop.
- Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Lake Placid for musician stipends.
- The 26 Foundation, West Chazy for child and young adult grief counseling.
- Town of Tupper Lake Recreation Dept., Tupper Lake to purchase a Grand Slam fencing kit.
- Adirondack Community Outreach Center, North Creek for the backpack program and summer meals.
- Cornell Cooperative Extension of Essex County, Lewis to procure local food and promote
Adirondack farmers. - Craigardan, Elizabethtown to expand the year-round Free Food Fridge program.
- Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Lake Placid to underwrite School Day Matinee artist fees.
- Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory, Tupper Lake to purchase portable, programmable robots.
- Whallonsburg Grange Hall, Inc., Essex to purchase stage lighting.
- Ticonderoga Central School, Ticonderoga for the school backpack program.
- Silver Bay YMCA, Silver Bay to support Teen Center staff, supplies and expand programming.
- Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm, Essex to fund weekly sessions of Mountain Tots.
- Ticonderoga Festival Guild, Ticonderoga to pay artist fees, housing and event expenses.
- Moriah Central School BackPack Program, Port Henry to purchase school backpack program food.
- Adirondack Research Consortium, Paul Smiths to offset student registration and program costs.
- CVW Long Lake Public Library, Long Lake to purchase books for all district preK-12 students.
- The Community Lunchbox, Saranac Lake for food items and eco-friendly containers.
- We Are Instrumental, Putnam Station to support 2025 WAI Music Summit videographers and editors.
- Essex County Arts Council, Westport to expand the Sunburst Awards program.
The Junior Trustees presented a proposal for their annual special grants. They decided to combine their individual $500 grants to request $1,000 for the Silver Bay YMCA Teen Center in Ticonderoga, NY. The Junior Trustees discussed the programs and events the Center organizes for Ticonderoga teenagers. The board approved the proposal.
